Sayonara Blogspot.
Konichiwa LiveJournal.

When I'm... (For this year)

(On MSN)
Online => Online.
Busy => Most probably gaming. Else I'll display what I'm doing currently.
Be Right Back => 10% chance that I'm still watching the screen.
Away => When I do not want to reply to people's conversation.
On The Phone => Please call me if someone just received a stab in the back.
Out To Lunch => Munching on food near my computer screen.
Appears Offline => How would you know if I feign 'offline'?

(Chatting over the MSN)
"..." => Want to say something, but decided not to due to many factors taken into consideration. Usually followed by "Nothing."
"Nothing." => Hiding something.
"AFS" => Away from screen. Most likely, warming up my PlayStation2.
"Nvm" => When I want to put a premature end to a subject during conversation.
"Anyways..." => Changing the subject. Followed by some nonsensical questions from me.

Wait... I think there's more. Will update whenever I find somemore.

Plans for the next few days. (or so)

The most useless thing here on this site has been transformed into something useful. Finally.

Anyways, from now onwards,

That site will contain everything about gaming, cars, and my much-delayed "How to slack without someone noticing" which will be classified under a certain website in a certain category as "NSFW"

This site will contain (or rather force to) all my complains, school life, attachment life (soon), army life (not so soon) and...

Personal life.

You wish.

Complain.

Can't view video clips.
Can't listen to audio clips.

As a result, it feels like good 'ol 28.8K era (athought our school has a high-speed 802.11g Wireless) without the functionality of the above which is l~a~m~e~ given that high-speed broadband was born due to demands of high-quality, high-speed, audio and video streaming.

With our school internet access only able to surf 'student-friendly' sites and email servers, the school might as well gives us back the good 'ol telephone wires to plug in and connect to external ISPs to use the internet like a snail (56K).

However, if i remembered correctly, Pacific Internet's going to launch an island-wide wireless access (what they call: the WAN) sometime this year. If my Year 3 Semester 1 haven't end (for your information: I'm in the study programme first before going for the attachment program), I can say good-bye to our school wireless server. Hah.

This was done when I could not connect to any of the BBC streaming video to watch when I had nothing to do during a particular class. This is not an official complain (the official version WILL come soon) though, just an opinion from me.

Gran Turismo 4. (Yet Again)

My thoughts on that game after some days of rather intensive playing on my part minus the steering wheel (and the subwoofer).

Thoughts (based on drivetrain):
FF - Well, it's better compared to half a year ago.
Current Car:
Honda Integra Type-R

FR - I hate FR cars with Turbochargers. No idea.
Current Car:
Nissan Silvia Ks 2000cc

4WD - Best in straights. Very good in the corners too due to my rather un-honed style of racing in an electronic game.
Current Car:
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

MR - I'm stuck with a slow, lousy and has a current 133BHP mid-ship, rear-wheel drive car. (for now, since i smell a NSX not too far off.)
Current Car:
Toyota MR2 1600 G

Nope, it's not an advertisement to promote a game but, this game gives the thrills of driving in our sofas without worrying about G-Force when driving an actual car. And in my humble opinion since I've played:-

- Gran Turismo 1/2/3
- Need for Speed 2/3:HP/HS/PU/HP2/U/U2/MW
- Initial D Arcade/Special Stage
- Daytona USA 1/2

From a humble Toyota Corolla, a frightening Pagani Zonda of Gran Turismo World to, the legendary Lamborghini Countach/Diablo/Murciélago of the Need for Speed Series, to the insanely un-real Initial D and lastly the insanely "Win-by-powersliding-your-way-through-at-more-than-260khp" Daytona, I strongly feel that, (if you haven't own a set of PlayStation, get 1 now.) Gran Turismo is the best car-racing games of all times. Not even the underground-style street racing (which amuse me to no end when I force a police car to the wall) of the Need for Speed comes close.

But, if you ask me which game I'm very good at. I would say,

The Need for Speed Series. 100% no (and again, no) idea why.

Time check, it's 1.30am Friday now and to sign it off a

Zzz

would do us no harm.

Gran Turismo 4. (Again)

First of all, this has no relation to the Top Gear video I watched a while ago, and absolutely no relation to my ICA which will commence exactly after my sleep 14 hours later. Oh, before I forget.

The following screenshots are mega for a old, and slow 56K modem, just like a Toyota Corolla AE85 or AE86 for that matter. [No Initial D fanatics flaming thank you very much.] However, this was done during a rather unforgiving hour into the night for most. (Without the effect from my subwoofer which in fact was rather un-AeroFlare to say the most) And to quote, "It's a Sony" + (PlayStation).

Laguna Seca Raceway
Honda NSX Type-R (2002)
295BHP
No tuning or what-so-ever. Only changes are the disabling of the stability control.

Time:
1'41.874 (Lap 1)
1'41.574 (Lap 2)
1'42.047 (Lap 3)

Screenshots:

Maneuvering carefully through the hardest corner on this circuit

Some reckless driving by my own standard when playing racing games. These styles ain't like me...!!!

Afterthought: Mess around with the last lap a little with some crazy stuffs like power-sliding my way through, taking shortcuts etc.

One complain though, when I was playing at the Nürburgring with the same car a while ago. When i reached the last straight, engages the 6th gear, suddenly, the car accelerates at a snail pace. [for your information, I was doing at around 250+kph which was, erm, hard to control during cornering and braking.]

Other than that, well... gonna study for yet another ICA tomorrow. Bye.

P.S.: Ooops i forgot a screenshot of my game car as promised... er... a few posts back ???

Edit: Change some words which is quite noobish and there are still some of those left.
