[Version 5.84b]

Team-mates:
Magnus
Lina Inverse

Morphling can really own with from my game point of view...
- Lina's Ultimate
[Spellsteal of course...]
- Empower
[from Magnataur]
- Eye of Scardi
- Max-ed Blink Ability
- Morph all to Agility
[risky due to super low HP but it's worth it...]

Notes:
------
Slayer's Ultimate Ability [+50% attack speed]
Magnataur's Empower Ability [+80% attack power]

was actually thinking of Morphling best ability to Spellsteal, team-mates to have and items beside the above two... and my trial build...

in my opinion...

==================
Spellsteal Section
==================

1) Spellsteal RougeKnight/SkeletonKing's Storm Bolt
(Max Level - 300 HP damage plus 2 second stun)
Best stun in the game. IMHO. Useful before getting the Eye of Scardi, but stunning with EoS is always preferred against Blinkers like Queen of Pain and pray that you can kill them before they blink away. =)
Alternative(s):
- Cranium Basher
(30% chance for a second stun)
Get this after getting the Eye of Scardi if you have an extra slot but you will have to rely heavily on luck though. Gives additional damage.

2) Spellsteal HolyKnight's Purge
(Max Level - Slow speed by factor of 7)
The magic negation will prove to be very useful against the likes of RougeKnight's God's Strength, Treant Protector's Living Armor, to name a few. Also, very useful before getting the Eye of Scardi and even more useful after getting it. Weak against Blinkers
Alternative(s):
- Diffusal Blade
(10 charges of Purge and Feedback ORB ability)
although the Purge effect is not as great compare to HolyKnight or Gorgon's, this is actually better than nothing, agree? Gives additional mana, armor and damage.

3) Spellsteal CrystalMaiden's Frostbite
(Max Level - 60 HP damage/second for trap for 3.5 seconds)
Can someone clarify with me... can an enemy blink out of a Frostbite??? other than that, the duration is longer than the best stun by a mere 0.5 second but never under-estimate the power of 0.5 second in DotA. Great against non-Blinkers and non-Strength-based heroes though
Alternative(s):
- If you can't get the best, get the second best. Refer to (1). RougeKnight/SkeletonKing's Storm Bolt.

4) Spellsteal OmniKnight's Repel
(Max Level - Repel offensive magics for 20 seconds)
'nuff said. This will help you survive against nukers. An other gray zone, can it repel MoonRider's Eclipse or Juggernaut's Omnislash???
Alternative(s):
-Black King Bar
(15 seconds duration Avatar which has the same effect as Repel)
Same as above. Gives additional HP, damage and when activated, gains additional armor and even more HP and damage.

5) Spellsteal DrowRanger's Frost Arrows, Silence
(Max Level - Slow attack rate by 20% and movement speed by 40%)
(Max Level - Silence an enemy for 6 seconds)
Frost Arrow will be useful once max-ed by either your team-mate or your enemy but only useful until you get the Eye of Scardi itself. Silence will be useful against Blinkers.
Alternative(s):
- The Eye of Scardi itself
(Slows attack rate and movement speed)
Gives additional increments to all departments of the Morphling
- Spellsteal QueenOfPain/Venomancer's Poison Strike
(Slows, 100 initial damage and 50 duration damage)
It's only for a short duration
- Spellsteal Tidehunter's Gush
(40% reduction of movement speed and a near-desolator effect: minus 5 armor)
This is one evil spell. Heh
- Spellsteal Netherdrake's Poison Attack
(40% reduction of movement speed and 24 damage/second)
Same as Frost Arrow but instead of slowing the attacking speed, the enemy hero has 24 HP loss per second.
- Spellsteal NightStalker's Crippling Fear
(40% chance to miss and 8 seconds worth of Silence)
Downside, night only. You will be cursing youself when the NightStalker's Darkness is still charging up and it's still Day]
- Spellsteal DemonWitch/ShadowShaman's Voodoo
(Turn an enemy in random critter for 5 seconds)
Thumb up for this
- Guinsoo's Scythe of Vyse
(Voodoo for 3.5 seconds)
Gives additional mana and mana regeneration rate

6) Spellsteal OrgeMagi's Bloodlust
(Max Level - Increase attack rate by 50%, movement speed by 25%)
A better version of the Slayer's Ultimate that's all
Alternative(s):
- Mask of Madness
(12% life steal and when activated, Frenzy which increases attack and movement speed but takes in 20% more damage)
You will have to sell this away once you have the Eye of Scardi or you risk the ORB effect of Eye of Scardi to be override by the Mask of Madness which you do not really want, considering the money spent to build the Eye of Scardi (the second most expensive item in DotA costing a whooping 7050 Gold!!!)
Couple this with max-ed Blink, and figure out the rest yourself. =D
- Spellsteal BoneFletcher's Strafe
(110% increase in attack speed for 10 seconds)
Only enable you to attack even more faster
- Spellsteal Viper/LightningRevenant's Frenzy
(100% increase in attack for 20 seconds at the cost of 20% more damage taken)
- Hyperstone
(55% increase in attacking speed)

The tedious Why-Not-Recommended Section
=======================================
Why these abilities are not recommended by me???

- GoblinTechie's Stasis Trap?
It takes too long to plant the trap and is easily counter-ed by Gem of True Sight or Sentry Wards althought it pays off if it traps an enemy hero since it has a very long stun period (13 seconds !!!)

- CentaurWarchief's Hoof Stomp?
Well it has a longer stun period but less damaging compared to RougeKnight/SkeletonKing's Storm Bolt. But damage is not your concern here. what matters more is that it only affect those within an AoE range of 125[?] from the Morphling compared to Storm Bolt's range of 500[?] single target

- DragonKnight's Dragon Tail?
This is IMO, even worse than Hoof Stomp. Single Target and stun at melee range, lasts for 3.25 seconds at max-ed level.

- VengefulSpirit's Magic Missile?
With damage at 325 HP damage, it's natural for it's stun effect to be low. (1.75 seconds)

- CrystalMaiden/Lich's Frost Nova?
Stun is the better choice over slow. Which is better, hitting a stun-ed hero or chasing a hero which has it's movement speed slow-ed by 4 seconds? The slow will be covered once you get the Eye of Scardi so why waste Spellsteal for this?

- NagaSiren's Ensnare?
Someone clarify, can enemy use stun while Ensnare-ed? Else, no effect against ranged hero like BoneFletcher. Ensnare lasts 5 seconds.

- Slayer's Light Strike Array?
280 HP AoE damage and stuns for 1.6 seconds and that's it. You hit the enemy once and he's off running. Need precise timing while trying to stun the running enemy hero else you will waste your time.

- UrsaWarrior's Overpower?
400% increment of attack speed for 15 seconds or 5 strikes whichever comes first. Its effect will be away before you notice it.

- OrgeMagi's Fire Blast?
Weak, Weak, Too Weak! (in terms of stun duration) 275 HP damage, single target, stuns for 1.5 seconds

- Prophet's Sprout?
Refer to NagaSiren's Ensnare.

- NightStalker's Void?
Night only. Slow for 4 seconds. Same theory as the immobolizing-or-chasing enemy hero. Not useful before Eye of Scardi and only serve to chase enemy off.

- NerubianAssassin/DemonWitch's Impale?
Straight line only and when you have casted it, the running enemy will be out of range of Impale. 300 HP damage and stuns for 2.25 seconds

- SlithereenGuard's War Stomp/Sprint?
Same as Hoof Stomp of the CentaurWarchief.
40% increase in movement speed but you take in 20% more damage.

- TormentedSoul's Split Earth?
Similar to Slayer's Light Strike Array

- ChaosKnight's Chaos Bolt?
Random stun for between 1 to 5 seconds and deals 200 HP damage

- Oblivion's Decrepify?
You cannot attack decrepify-ed hero physically. Slow 50% of movement speed though.

- Butcher's Meat Hook?
Nice try but is prone to be hooking creep without any practice.

- PandaranBattlemaster's Thunder Clap?
Same as Hoof Stomp.

============================================
Morphling Watch-List (for extreme morph-ers)
============================================
When morphing to the extreme Agility side:
[some instant 60-90% HP loss attack and assuming that you are in wonderland]
- MoonRider's Eclipse (1500 damage maximum, stick with your creeps)
- DwarvenSniper's Assassinate (655 HP damage over 2500 range)
- GoblinTechie's Suicide Squad (1500 AoE HP damage !!!)
- Slayer's Laguna Blade (1150 HP damage with Aghannim's Scepter)
- Juggernaut's Omnislash (1050 HP damage or 7xBaseAttack HP Damage)
- OrgeMagi's Max-ed DoubleCast Fireblast (1100 HP Damage with minor stun)
- QueenOfPain's Sonic Wave (850 HP damage with Aghannim's Scepter, line)
- Lich's Chain Frost (IMHO, with Aghannim's Scepter, 550 HP damage minimum, 2200 HP damage maximum)
- DemonWitch's Finger of Death (With Aghannim's Scepter, 1050 HP Damage)
- SandKing's Epicenter (1100 HP Damage)
- Max-ed Dagon (800 HP Damage)

When morphing to the extreme Strength Side:
[meaning your armor with base armor will be 1+7.1 with Eye of Scardi]
- Crystalys/Burize-do Kyanon (2x or 2.2x normal)
- Phantom Assassin's insane critical strike (4x normal)
- Desolator (8.1 armor decrease to 2.1 armor) [30+% damage reduction decreased to 10+% damage reduction]

i find the Morphling to be a very versatile hero... but being a jack of all trade is no good... haha... IMO

constructive comments anyone ?

i think i better off my computer... have spent quite some time on this... XD
